Your guide will show you around the alleys to the most important monuments of this fascinating old town. You will visit the old fort, the house of wonders, the palace museum and the slave market in front of the anglican church. Another stop will be the main market and along the way you will see some of the most beautiful Zanzibar’s world famous carved doors. Your guide will also show you the best shops in town for buying books, antiquities, traditional clothing or paintings.
You might want to combine your city tour with a dhow trip for a special sundowner to make it a full day trip!

Spice tour / half day
The most classic of Zanzibar’s excursions: Drive to the central part of the island and visit the Kizimbani government farm to discover all about the island’s most famous products: Spices. Your knowledgeable guide will teach you the basics about spices, fruits and traditional herbs also used for healing.

Safari blue / full day
Our favorite of all excursions: An entire day out spent dolphin watching, dhow sailing, snorkeling and tasting the best fruits and seafood. This excursion includes a sumptous seafood lunch with rock lobster and unlimited drinks.

Sultan panorama (spice tour + city tour) / full day
This tour is a combination of the Stone Town city and the spice tour, with the addition of a visit to a traditional village where you will find out more about the day to day living of the island, culminating in a typical local lunch experience.

Jozani forest
/ 3-4 hours
Famed for its rare Red Colobus Monkeys (Piliocolobus kirkii), Jozani Forest is the last area of rainforest left in Unguja. In addition to the unique plants, and of course the red colobus, you will discover a huge variety of birdlife and butterflies while walking through the forest and mangroves, and you might as well encounter sykes monkey’s, small buck, chameleon and bush pigs.

Kizimkazi dolphin safari
/ half day
Situated on the southern point of the island, Kizimkazi fishing village is home to several schools of bottle-nosed dolphins and Humpback dolphins, which can often be sighted following a short boat trip from the village. If you are lucky, you may be able to swim quite close to the dolphins, which can be a very rewarding experience. We are doing this trip in the early morning to avoid the crowds of tourists in the morning, as big numbers of them disturb the dolphins. Kizimkazi is also the site of a 12th century mosque, the earliest evidence of Islam in East Africa, and is thus worth a visit for both natural and cultural reasons. The trip includes transport, guide, boat and snorkeling equipment, and you can chose to have lunch and then hang out on the beach during the afternoon.
