Our rooms

The rooms are simple, functional, tastefully decorated and designed:

The furniture consists of a king size double bed with a large mosquito netting that covers also the bedside table, fan control and light switches.
The beds are ‘reading friendly’ as two reading lights can be reached from the bed whitin the mosquito net.
A small desk with a chair, the ceiling fan (over the bed, inside the mosquito net), an open drawer (in tropical areas closed cupboards will result in mould), some hooks, and a dhow picture frame with original artwork by east african artists (supplied by our partner gallery Real Art) complete the furniture.

The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, a hot water shower, a stone sink, a shelf and a mirror.

The rooms are entirely made with local techniques and materials (mainly white cement and precious hardwood such as teak and mahogany recycled from old fishing boats).

Our 30kva generator will provide electricity and support the water pumps during possible power cuts.
